Hemigraphis

Hemigraphis, commonly known as Waffle Plant, is grown for its crinkled, metallic-looking foliage and compact growth habit. The leaves often appear dark green to bronze on top with vibrant purple beneath, creating strong contrast. It works beautifully in mixed planters or as a low, trailing accent on shelves.

Caring for Waffle Plant

 Light Needs

Bright, indirect light helps maintain rich colour and compact growth. Too little light can cause fading and legginess, while direct sun may scorch the leaves.

 Watering

Keep the soil evenly moist, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. Waffle Plants prefer consistent moisture and do not tolerate drying out completely.

 Feeding

Fertilize once or twice a month during spring and summer with an all-purpose houseplant fertilizer. Reduce feeding during fall and winter as growth slows.
