Workshops for those aged 5-12 (3-5 welcome, with parent involvement) who want to experience first-hand the natural world
Our workshops consist of a lesson-based activity in the form of a craft or planting, and a snack. The classes are led by a licensed teacher, although parents are advised to stay in the area, and are welcome to take part in the experience
Cost is $25 for the session (5 classes) or $7 each
All classes are on Saturday, and from 10:30 – 11:30 or 1:30 – 2:30 unless otherwise noted

This Year’s Theme: small but MIGHTY
April 6th – Butterfly Café: Plant some mighty seeds to create a feast for the butterflies. Learn about nectar and also decorate your own nectar cup to complete the Butterfly Café.
May 4th – 10:30-2:30 Garden in a Glove: FREE WORKSHOP! Start your garden in the greenhouse of a glove and learn about the special seed.
June 8th – Bee and Ladybug Tic Tac Toe: Discover the uniqueness of two amazing insects, then create your very own hand painted board and game pieces.
September 14th – Table Top Biosphere: Microscopic organisms and algae are tiny yet powerful in sustaining life. Come critter dipping and create your own ecosystem in a jar.
October 5th – Sticky Spider Web Wands: Learn more about the incredible spider and its silky threads as we craft a natural and effective Spider Web on a stick. (Great Halloween Decoration or Fruit Fly Catcher)
November 9th – Beadwork Window Hangings: As the daylight shortens, capture the rays through beautiful coloured beads in your window to help brighten your day.
December 6, 7, 13, 14 – Free Christmas Activities: Pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, Cookie Decorating, Crafting, Face Painting and SO much more!
